"We loved our time at Reeds Bay Hotel. We got an ocean view which helped to keep it comfortable at night considering there is no air conditioning, as most in Hawaii do not have or use air conditioning. We slept well and the staff were all very warm and welcoming. Banyan Drive is beautiful and places you close to all things you would want to do and see in Hilo."

"We checked in on the 1st of December and arrived around 8 p.m. Our keys and packet were waiting for us at the kiosk with no issues. Our room was amazing—quiet, convenient, and clean. The property was clean as well. We messaged for room service, and they came with no issues. Extra amenities were available in the lobby too. We were there for six nights, and I will definitely be staying again. I would recommend checking in before dark—the road is kind of tricky to find."

"We had a WONDERFUL stay, rooms were comfortable and super clean!! You cannot see the ocean from the surfer room, but there is a wonderful outdoor kitchen/Lanai just up the stairs where we could see a mildly obstructed view of the ocean. We will def be back! "

"Nice big room. A bit eclectic i, but very clean and comfortable. Although there is no A/C it was cool enough at night that it wasn't necessary as long as there was a fan blowing. Still, It felt quite humid and towels, etc did not dry out. It was very nice to have a good coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, and microwave, plus a couple place settings with metal utensils. Everything seemed relatively recently updated. The bathroom was nice and big. Overall a great experience and would be happy to...
