The resort itself is great. I love the location, the room was quiet and good size etc. Pools were fun! It was just all the little things. For the Hilton brand I would have expected things to be clean, maintained and top notch, but it wasn’t. When we got to our room late at night someone had been in the room cooking some kind of smelly seafood in the microwave and had left the garbage in the counter. The room was “cleaned” but it must have been a quick basic one. We are likely higher maintenance than most, as we do our own Lysol wipe down, while wiping we found blood on the toilet, hair everywhere, floors were still nasty. The washer and dryer were very old and didn’t clean well. It sounded like an airplane taking off when the washer ran. Dishwasher was half broken down and old. When you opened the door water ran out of it onto the floor. The air conditioning in the room was terrible. Ducted, but it would only work when you were in the room and moving around. So when sleeping the motion sensor would shut it off and you’d wake up hot. On the weekends the pool area seemed open to the public. It got a lot busier and louder with the locals. Again needs more maintenance as deck tiles are breaking up etc. pool was awesome, but given other issues I was a little concerned about cleanliness. For all 2.5 weeks there was a maintenance light for emergency lighting in the hall ceiling outside our room blinking. Fantastic resort, but it needs more care, attention and maintenance.
