"Loved everything!!!"

"Cuando me quise registrar en la recepcion Edgar, el de recepcion, fue muy grosero y me dio una respuesta muy cerrada al momento de yo no tener una identificacion. Cuando yo tenia todos los comprovantes de ser la persona en ocupar la reservacion. Yo sabia que se arreglaria todo pero el me dijo que no podia hacer nada!!! Pues es el precio del hotel es para tratar a los habitantes con cortesia y el fue muy grosero y falta de etica profesional. Nunca se me pidio una disculpa ni de parte de el ni del supervisor. "

"My experience at Riu Palace Riviera Maya was extremely disappointing and did not meet expectations. The food quality was consistently poor. Most meals were bland or unappetizing, and we found ourselves skipping meals throughout our stay. Breakfast was the only acceptable option, though still average. We upgraded to the “Elite” level expecting an enhanced experience; however, the only noticeable benefit was access to higher-quality liquor. The designated “Elite” pool lacked food service, entertainment, and overall atmosphere, while the standard pool offered a much more engaging experience. This discrepancy made the upgrade feel unjustified. The beach conditions were also subpar, with significant amounts of seaweed that appeared to be minimally maintained by the resort. Additionally, pricing and service issues further impacted our stay. When inquiring about extending one night, we were quoted $1,000—equivalent to the cost of our five-night stay. After booking externally, a minor reservation error (one guest instead of two) resulted in a proposed $600 charge to add a second person. Resolving this took approximately four hours. During this time, front desk staff displayed unprofessional behavior, including laughing and pointing, which was inappropriate. Overall, this resort did not provide the quality or service expected. I would not recommend staying here."

"I did not left a 5 stars reviews due to the following reasons although overally it was a nice vacation for us. 1. Unorganized and insufficient internal transit bus 2. A few missings inside the room like toothbrushes cop, Shampoo wall mounted container inside the bathroom. 3. Insufficient trash bins in the room 4. Queen size beds were not standard size and smaller than that like double bed so we are as a family of three could not sleep comfortably. "

"My wife and I stayed for 4 nights without 3 year old daughter and had an amazing time. The whole property is absolutely spotless and the staff and service was fantastic. The room at Jungala was beautiful and the ability to shut off the living room as a child’s bedroom was great. We loved riding the golf carts through the jungle to each of the pools and amenities. It must be noted that the resort was very quiet when we went (early May) and that definitely made an impact on the experience. We had no wait times for transportation and quite often had whole pools to ourselves! Overall we could not recommend enough and will be back! Special shout out to the concierge staff who always went above and beyond! Food and drinks are pricy but the portions and quality were excellent. "

"I dont really want to share this for fear that it wont be available next time i come (I stay here a lot) but for the price and the pool on the roof, the staff, the cleanliness, and the balcony you just cant do any better than Sofia!"

"We recently stayed 5 night's. We had private transfer from airport thru mts which i highly recommended so you dont have to wait for others. Check in we were upsold to a swimout by the ocean. Do not do that. In the photo they showed us, it showed a cabana in front of your room but it was like the land of broken cabanas that sat in front of your ocean view and were stacked 2 deep. Would have never upgraded if had known that. Would have stayed with our original swimout. Also ( not the hotels fault) the sargassum all collected right in front of our view. So stay away from these swimouts. Our butler was amazing. We had 2 during our stay and they did great. Room service was great. Cleaning staff was awesome. Definitely recommend the spa. Food was okay but didnt like that the " best" options/ restaurants you had to pay extra for. Was told few years ago the " best" options/ restaurants were included. The pool and activities were a great time. The best thing is walking playa del carmen. That was an absolute blast. If trying to be sold a different room just ask to see it first. "

"I’ve stayed at Hyatt Vivid (next door) and I thought it was great. While walking at the beach, looking at Devossion by Live Aqua, it didn’t seem too attractive. However, this time we decided to give at chance. By just simply walking in into Devossion (front entry) it takes your breath away. The view of the ocean from the front desk (checking in) is AMAZING!!!!! I felt in love at first sight with this resort. The views, the restaurants, the ambiance, their customer service…. Everything that you need to relax. I will definitely be back and strongly recommend. The views from the hotel from any angle, is AMAZING… lets not forget the views during the night, FANTASTIC!"
