"When I read the reviews before me, I was weary, but having grown up in the Bay Area and gone to Sausalito many times I gave this place a try. This is a classic, bay boutique hotel, and I loved it! It’s an old house, so it has a lot of charm. If you come in expecting it to be like a true hotel; you’ve set expectations incorrectly. It was very clean, very spacious, very safe, and the staff was very kind. They have water and coffee for you, and it is a quick walk away from restaurants and shops...

"Marriott Petaluma was by far a good hotel, the hostess in the front desk where very nice and welcoming. We arrived for Thanksgiving weekend and where received with a cute ducky to reward us with points, thought this was a nice gesture of them. I know the building used to be a factory, but the room felt very industrial. Could have been softened a bit with lighting and comfier furniture. Otherwise, a great stay. "
