"We haves always stayed at the Argonaut and have loved the proximity to the Bay and all that brings . The hotel is in much need of a refresh , wallpaper is failing , moldy showers , just overall needs a remodel . The staff is always lovley , so that is a plus . There is food on premises , which also makes it convenient. Just needs some updating !"

"Hotel Zoe was perfect for us. We positioned ourselves for easy flat walking to Fisherman Wharf for Dylon’s Tours and also Alcatraz Night Tour. We were a short ride away from great food/people watching/City Lights bookstore in North Beach, Chinatown & Pacific Heights. Highly recommend!"

"The staff was great as is the location. Condition of the property is the reason for 2 stars (couldve been 1 star). They are upgrading rooms, but slowly. Our room had peeling paint on the ceiling, 40 year old faded wallpaper, only 1 open outlet. Painted things looked dirty, water would not shut off at tub. Bed was worn out. Very disappointed, especially for the price."

"Fantastic customer service by staff, very helpful. It was my first time in San Fransisco and wanted one overnight stay whilst I was booked on tours. The location was perfect, a 20 minute walk down to the pier and Alcatraz boarding and 6 minutes to the cable cart ticket office. The room was lovely, comfy mattress and all the amenities needed. Very happy with my stay and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a reasonable cost stay in SF. Parking was $25 per night. Thank you to all...

"I was in town for a conference. I had booked, and paid more, for a higher level room because I’m a light sleeper and wanted to get away from street noise. When I checked in I asked if I was on a higher floor stating I have trouble sleeping in cities. They put me on the 11th floor. The first night an hour after going to sleep I spent 3 hours awake due to noise all around me - much of it above me and some by the other two rooms beside me - there was a conference in town. I thought it was just a...
