"If you are on a budget and just want a place to (try and) sleep in, this place might be for you. The unit we got was old and in an average condition, and had a pee-smelly toilet. The unit is connected to another unit by a thin wall, and we could hear every sound made in the unit next door. Needless to say, we didn’t sleep well. The balcony is also shared between 2 or 3 units, and nothing stops the neighbour from venturing right outside our unit. If you want a good night’s sleep, and a room...

"The hotel is under renovation so we could not stay there. Called hotels.com but was put on hold for a ridiculous 92minutes. Agent said will look for a vacancy nearby the amir hotel and get back to me, but did not get back to us after waiting for close to 2 hours. Walk in to a nearby hotel and was immediately offered a room. Waste my time, international call time, money and most importantly ruined the trip for me and my girlfriend. I wish to speak to the higher up of hotels.com for compensation."

The location is a big highlight — close to shopping, food spots, and just a short ride to Batam’s main attractions. Perfect whether you’re here to relax or explore. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide spread of local and international options, and the hotel facilities like the pool and gym were clean, well-maintained, and relaxing after a day out.
