"Excellent resort! My new favorite and I travel often"

"Great food, excellent amenities, and an exceptionally clean resort. Every inch of the property is impeccably maintained, making for a very enjoyable stay. My only complaint is the transportation between the resorts. Getting to and from the other properties from the Palace is extremely difficult and not very convenient. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend it."

"My family and I ( husband and three grandkids) had a wonderful stay at Barcelo Maya and it surpassed all our expectations! We stayed in the Tropical area and all facilities were easy to access to by pathways or by shuttle. Pools are beautiful and each one has its own all inclusive bar. "Staff is top notch. Property is very well kept and beautiful. Food buffet options are great. The only suggestion about the food is that the rice should be cooked a little more; it was seasoned well but some grains were still crunchy to the bite. Overall, I had a very good and relaxing stay."

"Overall, our stay was disappointing. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready even though we were already in the middle of check-in. We were then downgraded from a first-floor room to a third-floor room that was much farther away. Traveling with four young kids, who were exhausted and ready to get settled and enjoy the resort, made this especially frustrating. The air conditioning in our room barely worked. "The property is right on the beach! We were unable to get in the water and use a lot of the amenities, like paddle boards, due to the sargassum (which is on every beach in the Riviera Maya). The restaurant staff were very attentive and the breakfast was good. They made us a to go meal on our last day. There is no other choice for meals in the area, so you need a car if you want to eat elsewhere. Taxis were $400-450 Mex pesos for a one way ride to the nearest village. You get 1 bottle of water...

"Las fotos no le hacen justicia al lugar, es simplemente hermoso. Nos toco un cuarto precioso frente a la piscina en el segundo piso pero la primera noche fue incómodo por que teniamos un sliding door sin cortinas y el agua tenia un olor feo. El dueño fue muy atento, nos cambio de cuarto y el resto de los dias fueron perfectos. Disfrutamos de la piscina, tenemos fotos muy lindas y estabamos cerca de todo. Lo recomiendo si busca tranquilidad."
