"I really loved this resort. I would suggest staying in the palace to be able to go to all the others. The Mayan Mall was really fun for the whole family between bowling, arcade, ice skating, etc. The staff was extremely friendly, my kids and I all had a wonderful time."

"The room was spotless. Bed was a little soft for my likeness however that is personal preference. The staff were great. The pool and spa were also great. The beach area was ok. It was rocky in spots. The food was so/so. Some of the restaurants were better than others, but overall I was satisfied. The only complaint I would have is that the they try to get you to buy into the Hyatt vacation club. I don’t like being pressured into a timeshare when I’m on vacation. I would highly recommended...

"Barcelo Maya Beach is much bigger than we had anticipated. The 4 beachfront Barcelo hotels share the common areas so we had access to many facilities. The food was good and the location is beautiful. We would definitely stay there again."
