"This hotel is very conveniently located. The staff is lovely and very accommodating. Our room was impeccably clean and rather small, typical for Tokyo. But the way it was laid out, with a sliding door between the sleeping area and the shower/toilet/sink areas (all separate) provided privacy. So the room being small was not a problem. Beds were comfortable, A/C was great. Breakfast (included in our reasonable room rate) was AMAZING. We chose the Japanese selections rather than the western choices, and everything was fabulous - tamago, udon, different types of vegetables, yogurt with toppings, fresh fruit etc. Don't hesitate to book this hotel!"

The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Tokyo Shiodome

"So I booked this hotel (presently staying in) after reviews averaging 4.2 about the decor, ambiance, staff and amenities. I must say I'm rather disappointed with some of these which I'll expand upon below: First - the shower head - leaking in both functions of jet and shower leading to a reduction of pressure (raised issue with Bell captain and he could only have the issue looked at the following day without option of room change, mind you it was flagged before 4pm). Second - flooring/carpeted areas, there are as you can see from the attached photo areas of carpet experiencing significant fatigue/fading. Third - Noise the level of internal noise stemming from hydraulics, water, waste and neighboring guests is atrocious for a hotel of such "rapport". The staff present themselves in a professional and courteous manner that does not correlate to the quality or lack thereof of the rooms within this property, they too deserve a hotel that fits the way in which they present themselves (impeccably). If you're looking to stay near Ginza, Shiodome, Shinagawa or Tokyo station this isn't the place."

Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi

"First of all, I wanted to say that this is not a hotel for a family vacation — it’s definitely a business hotel. Every time I got in the elevator it smelled like smoke. The bathroom was very odd, from the plumbing to the loud toilet to the lack of ventilation… It was also very hard to find from Tokyo Station (going into the station was easy but figuring out the correct exit for this hotel was a real challenge)… We got lost multiple times. Also, while it’s close to the main train station, it’s not really in an attractive part of the city. It’s surrounded by office buildings and hence business professionals so it’s busy and not a touristy area at all. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel except for a business trip or an overnight stay when proximity to Tokyo Station is a priority… All that said, the front desk staff was very accommodating when we had luggage challenges, agreeing to store our luggage for most of the day we checked out, so I really did appreciate that. The hotel just wasn’t the right fit for the type of trip we were on, unfortunately."

APA Hotel & Resort Roppongi Ekihigashi

10/10 Excellent

"The room was nice and clean. There’s enough room to do burpees, push-ups, ice skaters, side lunges and squats. The pool wasn’t open but the patio area next to it was. It’s a cool area but I preferred visiting the city. The location is a 8 mins walk from stations and grocery stores. It is also close to a Don Quijote and a convenience store."
