Top Central Los Angeles Hotel Reviews

citizenM Los Angeles Downtown

8/10 Good

"Very helpful staff and super cool hotel, the location being in downtown LA is not the best but the hotel itself was great"

InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown by IHG

8/10 Good

"Bed mattress and pillows uncomfortable. Rooms are fairly standard, though the giant semi-transparent glass between the bed and bathroom really ruins sleep when someone else turns on the lights to use it. The city view is really nice since I was assigned a higher floor, but everyone gets to experience it when checking in since the lobby is all the way up to the 70th floor (first ever hotel I’ve seen do that). I’d say the “luxury” aspect just comes from the hotel aesthetic, high floors, and… basically everything else but your room. The room I got was a duplicate of every other non-luxury hotel with an even worse mattress and pillow so I had to lower my overall rating. There are hidden fees on top of the already expensive pricing (about 200 more dollars than the total I’ve paid for) but I’d say compared to other “luxury” hotels the base price itself was very cheap so it really didn’t ruin the pricing. Not advocating for hidden fees though. Just comparing. Overall, 4/5 stars from me. Everything BUT the room (which is the whole point of a hotel) was satisfactory. Beautiful hotel. Terrible room."

Moxy Downtown Los Angeles

8/10 Good

"First time at moxy! It was very nice and relaxing, we got 23 floor which was a perfect city view! The rooms are small but if you’re going to be out all day then that doesn’t matter. But overall we like the experience! there parking was easy we did valet for 2 nights. For breakfast if you’re going to get free breakfast it’s just a simple coffee shop."

The Hollywood Franklin Hotel near Universal Studios

10/10 Excellent

"Stayed here for the first time and loved it! We came to LA for the Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights, which was a short drive away. The room was immaculately clean, the staff friendly! Really loved there was a cafe on site, we had breakfast there every morning and the food was great. Loved the decor and the outdoor patio with shade! Overall, a 5 star stay, no complaints except for the $38/night valet parking fee. That's normal for LA, unfortunately. A+ hotel, staff, and location!"
