"Really relaxed vibe and Jack was a great host. The ‘help yourself’ breakfast was a great idea and the little things like, have a bottle of water out of the fridge, went a long way. Room was clean, light and airy. Had everything you could possibly want eg posh coffee maker etc, bottles of water/fizzy drink. Jack made some lovely recommendations for places to see/eat/visit and we can highly recommend The Plough Inn and Jorvine too! Will return for another visit!"

Hard to get hold of before arrival and then seemingly uncomfortable with dogs? I had selected dog friendly accommodation only but there was no place to confirm dogs in attendance. "First I was sent a text with check in instructions for the wrong room so nearly walked in on another family. Then there was a party in the room directly beside ours that were up until 4am yelling, laughing, banging around etc. both inside and outside the property. There was no staff on site at any point in time to deal with these messes so we had to handle by phone or text."

"Clean room. Easy to access. Helpful staff. Uncomfortable bed. Provided fan was extremely dusty and barely worked consistently (which considering the moderate heatwave wasn’t the greatest)."
