"The hotel is very well situated from the station and town centre. Breakfast was very good. Standard room was ok quite small although king bed. Our only complaint was it was so noisy from the street, shouting in the night and the refuse lorry came every morning at 5am so if we stayed again we would ask for a room overlooking the river side not the street. The hotel should look at visitors who are staying more than one night and offer rooms accordingly we stayed 3 nights and should have asked to...

"The hotel was well located to see all attractions, the lobby area was really great idea for chilling out, playing games and socialising, nicely done and you can see that the space was invested in. The breakfast was delicious and plenty to choose from hot, cold options, cereals, drinks.
The room was small, but nice, bed was fab, had a great mattress, but nowhere to put jackets,clothes - not even few hangers only two hooks - not practical at all?! Bathroom was tiny and the sink was blocked with...

"Booked it through Expedia that said parking available. When arrived they said they had limited spaces and should have pre-booked a space. That option wasn't available. I ended up parking half a mile away and paying a total.of £75 for it! I could have used that for a better hotel width parking spaces."

"Was disappointed to find that there was no available gym in the hotel, even though it is advertised as such. The sofa bed in the room was broken, as was the air-conditioning. Staff attempted to fix it but didn’t make a difference. When we visited, there was a pile of mattresses sitting in the lobby. Surely there’s a better way to manage this. We shared our complaints with staff at the hotel but they showed little interest so I hope management will take note "

"Lovely clean room. Great air con. Comfortable bed. Minutes walk to centre. Great outside terrace. Buffet breakfast was nice. Only complaint was the sliding door to bathroom just slams shut, it isnt on any tracks and lock didnt work. And a couple of hooks in bathroom would be useful. But overall a great stay"

"Location is the biggest plus. Breakfast is good but noise in our room was a little frustrating. Late night cleanup noise and early morning recycling pickup - perhaps louder than normal because we had to have the window open due to the temps and lack of a/c. The shower though was terrible. Water was slow to drain and we had to be very careful about water splashing and the handle of the sprayer was loose making that very challenging. I may look around more should we return to York."
