Everything exceeded our expectations, from the beautiful property and relaxing atmosphere to the outstanding service we received throughout our stay. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed, comfortable, and taken care of. A special thank you to Carlos, our butler, who truly made our experience extra special! His attentiveness, professionalism, and exceptional service made such a difference throughout our stay. He deserves so much recognition for the amazing job he does! The food was delicious, with so many great options to enjoy, and every part of the experience felt luxurious and well thought out. From the service to the dining to the overall atmosphere, everything was exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation, and TRS Yucatán made our stay unforgettable. If you’re looking for a luxurious getaway with incredible food, beautiful surroundings, and five-star service, this is the place to be! We would absolutely come back again. "Barcelo has 6 hotels on the property to accommodate all price ranges and specific needs (like the adults only hotel). The area is very large so be prepared to walk a lot! The grounds are immaculate; the rooms are very clean and well maintained. They kept the fridge stocked with water, soda, beer and nuts every day. They keep the room temps a little too cold and I could never figure out how to adjust the thermostat and maintain the temp I wanted. It was always around 19 C which is about 64 F. The food at the buffet was always fresh and hot and the specialty restaurants were fabulous! The staff is multi-lingual, except for the gals who clean the rooms. Most of them only speak Spanish. The check in process was smooth and luckily there weren't large groups checking in at the same time however; checking out was awful. They need a separate line for check-outs. I waited for over 30 minutes behind people who were checking in and we almost missed our shuttle. That would be my only complaint is the check-out process. Give yourself PLENTY of time when you're ready to leave. Also - the bartenders are very friendly and remember your preferences. We always tipped them $1 every time we went to get drinks, and they appreciate it very much! Pools are very clean and huge! Never felt crowded and there is plenty of seating both around the pools and on the beach."

"The food was excellent and staff was always friendly and helpful. The temperature in our room was never controlable via the thermostat. Alway too cool. We just opened the door to the balcony. My wife and I were there to celebrate her birthday. The birthday was mentioned as the reason for our stay to several staff members during our checkin. After checkin, my wife's birthday was never mentioned or acknowledged. This was our second stay at Unico 20.87. This trip the grounds and facilities are being overrun with the large rodents with long tails and snouts. The large number of these animals roaming the hotel creates safety and sanitation concerns for all. The population of these animals in the hotel needs to be reduced."
