"Cute little hotel with kind staff. It was being prepared for renovations while we were here which created some commotion with the lifts and traffic in the lobby. The room was comfortable and gym was good. We cut our stay short to stay closer to the sights and the staff was incredibly gracious about the change. Thank you for having us!"

"I often stay at the Athena the night before my return flight to Canada because it is close to Paddington Station and the excellent new Elizabeth Line, which goes to Heathrow for just 14 pounds. This time I was given an upgrade to a bigger room on the top floor, which would have served a small family quite well. It was quite warm outside, but the attic room was not at all stuffy. "I’ve stayed her multiple times and always have had a lovely experience. Rooms are clean, spacious and updated. On this occasion in particular, they found out it was my birthday and went above and beyond. Left a sweet treat in my room upon arrival and gave us a free drink at the bar.
