The bedding deserves special mention: proper feather pillows and Egyptian cotton that made for the best night’s sleep of my trip. It’s those details that separate a true five-star experience from the rest. The Majestic has real character. In a city where many upscale hotels feel like interchangeable corporate properties, this one stands apart with its colonial heritage and distinctive atmosphere. It feels worthy of the Autograph Collection branding — individual, considered, and with a genuine sense of place. The smokehouse bar alone is worth a visit even if you’re not staying. Staff were friendly, efficient, and welcoming throughout. Everything felt well-run without being overly formal. The only slight caveat is location. While centrally placed on paper, it doesn’t quite have the walkability of areas like Mont Kiara or Bukit Bintang — you’ll likely need a Grab for most outings. That said, if you’re happy with that trade-off, the quality of the room and the price point make this an exceptional choice. For what you’d pay for a basic chain hotel room in London, you’re getting a genuine suite in a landmark property. Highly recommended."
