"Areca Hotel was delightful, full of character, so much nicer than the high rise hotels we have been staying in so far on this trip. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, not only with a welcome drink, but an invitation to afternoon tea each afternoon of our stay. "Arrived late on the check in date but was greeted with tea time even though it was after tea time session. stay was excellent with clean and quiet bedroom. breakfast was great as well with mixture of local and western food. overall a great stay within a great location. things to improve: cant lock toilet door, and the sliding door is noisy. parking is also inconvenient."

"Muntri Mews exceed my expectations. I loved this heritage style hotel with the original architecture. I love the size of the rooms and the charm and character of staying in an older building. The hotel was centrally located. There is even a cafe right now door. Walking distance to all the main tourist attractions and eating. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Penang."
