"Great service and friendly staff, but food prices don't match the portion sizes
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, largely thanks to the excellent service. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly throughout my visit, with a special shout-out to the team managing reception and the two members of staff manning the bar, who were fantastic.
My only real complaint lies with the food. As a business traveller, I am used to paying a premium for hotel dining, but I usually expect that higher price point to be reflected in the portion sizes. While I understand and appreciate the concept of fine dining, the starter and main course I ordered simply did not represent value for money—describing the portions as "small" would be an understatement.
Furthermore, some items on my main course were swapped out without prior warning and just passed off as okay. I decided not to complain at the time because the food itself tasted nice and I didn't want to put the serving staff under pressure, but the overall dining experience was disappointing.
It is a lovely hotel with wonderful service, but the restaurant needs to look at its value for money and portion sizes. The breakfast was buffet so the size was self managed"
