"The hotel appears to have had a fresh renovation and the staff weren’t just welcoming but very hospitable as if they were welcoming you into their personal home. The hotel was in an ideal location for us with a very reasonable cost. Ideal because it is slightly away from the main road but close enough to the bus line to take you back and forth to city center and to Magdalen College which is also walkable from the hotel (8-10min). Many eatery options nearby. A couple of things to note; 1. There is a pub across the street that sometimes plays loud music but during respectable hours and we enjoyed the local flavor. 2. There is a lift to the 2nd floor only but we had help with our bags up and down the 3rd floor. The lift is a true lift that you must hold the button continuously to rise and lower to the floor you want. Then you open the door to exit. A bit manual sorta like the wheelchair lifts for stages. I most definitely would choose this hotel again and again."
