"My daughter and I stayed here for one night and stayed in the Japanese style room. It was very comfortable and we had the traditional breakfast in the morning. The food was ok it wasn't to my daughters liking, but I enjoyed mine. The only negative I could say is that Expedia did not inform us of the extra $90CAD we had to pay for the Tourist Tax. Apart from that the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is very clean and well maintained."

"This was our first time staying in an onsen hotel. The property is loaded with amenities: an on-site hot and cold water onsen, a lounge with 24 hours of free drinks, a happy hour with wine included. Our room was gorgeous, with tatami mat floors and comfortable beds they set up. We had a glass wall shower and views of Lake Biwaka. My only criticism is that some of the furnishings seem a bit dated. But everything else was spectacular."

"Super super friendly stuff! Great location for walking around the market. we had a short stay in Kyoto so sleeping on the floor was not a big problem. Great to experience Japanese culture. The breakfast was Wowing and festive. Highly recommended."

"It was an amazing experience! The service and staff were one of the best , everything was so organized! We stayed two nights it was enough to experience traditional Japanese cuisine, tatami rooms and open air onsen with beautiful scenery!"

"Absolutely loved our stay here! The staff were so helpful and spoke English really well which we really appreciated. We also really enjoyed the welcome tea and sweet treat. The room itself was so clean and had great amenities- I was very excited to wear the yukata! I love the authenticity of the room it was truely a great stay and I wish we had booked longer. I was also looking forward to trying the onsen but was very nervous because of the nudity, so I was very pleased to try the private...
