Dieses ist ebenfalls nicht all zu stark besucht und es kam vor, dass wir oft alleine im großem Bad waren. Ebenso gibt es einen Souvenirladen im Hotel, für ein paar Kleinigkeiten. "We chose a room option with beds instead of the futons, though the futons actually looked comfy! We did the included breakfast and it was delicious. The property was beautiful and clean and centrally located to all the Gion sights. I would definitely recommend it. "

"First time in Kyoto and we had the best time in this traditional feeling Japanese ryoken. Staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Their restaurant was traditional, inexpensive and very yummy. No complaints at all, would go back!!! Immaculate gardens around the property, good coffee shop on the parking lots, convenience store close by, close to a major bus route. Absolutely breathtaking neighborhood."

"Kyoto Ryokan Hirashin's best feature is its excellent location that allows walkable access to just about every magical aspects of Kyoto: Outrageously fun shopping options, unmatched food choices, outstanding ease to public transportation, awe-inspiring visitation to world-famous temples/shires/palaces/castles/landmarks, etc. Additionally, staff members were superbly attentive to guests' needs, quick to help, and made my 18-day stay an absolute joy."

"It was a very unique experience. They were agreeable, and when language was a barrier, even those who didn't know English, they were fluent enough to understand what you were saying and what you wanted/needed and delivered promptly. While I did attempt to use my limited Japanese, it was just that, limited. Whenever I'm in Kyoto again, I would likely come back to this Inn."

"This is a charming historic ryokan. We loved the traditional breakfast we had each morning and the kaiseki dinner on our last night. The onsen is also terrific. The location truly can’t be beat. We were easily able to walk to almost all of the places we wanted to visit. There are great bakeries, coffee shops and cafes just steps away. And finally the staff here is the best! They went above and beyond to welcome us and share a bit of Japanese culture with us. Highly recommend. "

"Best place for solo female traveller to stay if u wanna go around gion-uji-biwa area. It’s located infront of main road and it’s easy to spot the hotel. It’s also easy to bring your luggage from sanjo station. The room space is spacious and i really wanted to extend my stay for one day but i have other plans."
