"One of my favorite hotels, but the coffee bar was closed for remodeling and only reason why I subtracted a star. Also, lotion in rooms would be nice…unusual not to offer any."

"The hotel and its facilities are a bit old, as is common with many hotels in New York, but everything is well maintained and in good condition. The location is very convenient, just a short distance from Central Park and the subway, making it easy to get around the city."

"this is a remodeled property, very spacious for New York City. Family and business friendly. The 12th floor lounge is very practical for those needing to work occasionally while on vacation. Plenty of space and tables. TV screens for watching games or other in group, or meetings. Cute nice gym on the same floor. Will definitely return for future New York trips."

"Loved the vibe of this hotel as well as the proximity to the Beacon Theatre. Continental breakfast was basic but good. Beds were comfortable but room air conditioning loud. Our Expedia booking was lost upon arrival but quickly fixed (make sure you have your confirmation code with you) and discounts given due to inconvenience. I would stay here again."

"Always a great stay at the Lucerne. Professional and helpful staff. Unbeatable location: one block from the 1 line, 24-hour well-stocked deli across street, 24-hour drug store across street the other direction, adjacent to Amsterdam and Columbus with many dining and light fare options. Staying at the Lucerne feels like living in NYC as this is a non-tourist area. One block away from the entrance to new wing of American Museum of Natural History, two blocks away from Central Park."

"I was disappointed with our room. I specifically asked in advance for a room away from the elevator because I was traveling with my elderly mother and children. Unfortunately, we were given a room right next to the elevator, with the elevator shaft directly behind the wall. There was constant loud banging and noise, especially at night, which made it difficult to sleep. I was disappointed that my request was ignored."

"Wir haben zu zweit für 5 Tage dieses Hotel gebucht. Die Lage ist sehr zentral. In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es mehrere Supermärkte und auch Imbisse. Besonders toll fanden wir die Rooftop Terrasse, dir wir tatsächlich jeden Abend besucht haben. Das Frühstück war sehr süß, wobei der Kaffee wirklich erstklassig war. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich kann das Hotel wirklich uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen. Auch preislich ist es sehr gut. Falls wir New York nochmals...
