It’s convenient to nearly everything including the Kyoto Museum of Art, Another C (great Restuarant, get a reservation), Nishikki Market, convenience stores, good ramen, cafes, etc. Not cheap, but lots of value. Complimentary water and daily English language newspaper was also a nice touch. Another convenience was the underground Kyoto subway station connected to the hotel together with a shopping mall!
