"Location was great; within 5 mins walk to 2 metro stations (1 of which is just 1 stop from Kyoto Station), convenience store (7-Eleven) and 2 local mini-markets. Room we booked was spacious and clean, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Used the luggage forwarding service recommended by hotel to send our luggage onwards to Osaka, and it was simple to use."

"Beautiful house with great design in really great neighborhood. For us it was okay but the stairs were very steep so keep that in mind. The bathroom is outside so not sure how comfortable this is in the winter. But it was a nicely designed bathroom and the foot bath is a great feature after a long day of walking. "

It was very clean and all the amenities were fantastic and the gentleman at the reception was very helpful in giving suggestions for local restaurants. "Best place for solo female traveller to stay if u wanna go around gion-uji-biwa area. It’s located infront of main road and it’s easy to spot the hotel. It’s also easy to bring your luggage from sanjo station. The room space is spacious and i really wanted to extend my stay for one day but i have other plans."
