"If you want to have a quiet night at Uji, this hotel will be a good choice. It’s next to the Uji river and has a walkable distance to Byodoin and Uji shrine. Wish we have time to stay here for few more nights next time."
"Nice new hotel located just a short walk from train station. Friendly service, clean and with a surprisingly spacious room. Good place to stay if you are looking to spend the night in Uji"
"The house was great and in perfect condition.
Great location as it is 3 min from the Inari shrine and close to the train station which is always helpful.
Nothing to complain about except 1 thing: there was no pool table as shown on the photos and we were not told about it. The guy who gave us the keys told us it is being fixed, which is fine but we would have prefered to know beforehand as we were very excited about it.

"This was my favorite stay in Japan. We stayed on the 12th floor with the most picturesque view of Tokyo tower. The amenities were perfect and the location was perfect as it is located in the Kyoto station. Highly recommend. The staff was also amazing. "

"Very clean and quiet location. Very helpful staff from front desk to dining room. Buffet breakfast was highlight of the day.
Location is very close to Fushimi Inari. However , need to take the train to Kyoto Station."
"I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Keihan Kyoto Hachijoguchi. The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk from Kyoto Station, making it easy to get around the city and explore nearby sights.
The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. The bed was excellent, and all the little details—like the in-room air purifier, amenities, and thoughtful design—made it feel welcoming and relaxing.
One of my favorite features was the large public bath, which was such a refreshing way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was also fantastic, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day right.
The staff were outstanding—always polite, helpful, and attentive. Their warm hospitality really made a difference.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto. It offers excellent comfort, great facilities, and unbeatable convenience. I would happily stay here again!"
