Very clean and quiet location. Very helpful staff from front desk to dining room. Buffet breakfast was highlight of the day.
Location is very close to Fushimi Inari. However , need to take the train to Kyoto Station.
I did not have the breakfast but the hotel was lovely, the staff super nice and helpful, the station is only an 8 minute walk. Super calm and peaceful no matter what time. 10/10

Staff were helpful, aircon does not condition each room and it was stuck on heat. Staff were friendly and helpful
The lobby and hallway are a little cramped and dated, but don't be fooled; they hide a clean, comfortable hotel room 5 minutes from the keihan line and 15 minutes from fushimi inari shrine. The staff were very kind and were patient with my slow Japanese as I checked in. Really a lovely stay.
Urban hotel was a nice hotel with the amenities you expect of a hotel, plus a coin operated laundromat on two different floors. It’s close to train stations and Fushimi Inari shrine. The staff were always pleasant and greeted you each time you entered.
Staffs are very friendly. ❤️ will book again next time

This was further away from Kyoto than I realised. But the room was clean and the breakfast was great. There was a funny smell (damp I think), and the hotel rooms could do with a refresh, but it was fine for a couple of nights.
Great stay, comfy bed with good amenities. The room had a vague funny smell but was otherwise clean. The outside was a small bit unclean but once inside it was all great

This was a tale of 2 properties. The staff and food were great, the property itself was marginal. Very tiny room, no hot water on arrival (fixed by staff), very noisy bathroom fan, but worst of all, some kind of god-awful industrial burnt-wire, overflowing ashtray smell that would pervade the room in the middle of the night. And it wasn't just us. Others mentioned it too. It would eventually go away with the bathroom extraction fan running flat out but it took at least an hour and it was in the middle of the night, so sleep was affected. And with pillows like sand bags, that didn't help. I wouldn't stay here again.
Pros-
Friendly and helpful staff
Well maintained
Good location (near to Fushimi Inari)
Allows keeping luggage for few hours after checkout
Cons-
Hotel doesn't provide water bottles in room. Though they have water dispenser available in the reception.
Compact rooms but I guess that's common for Japan.

It is an older building but the actual facilities were physically clean and the staff service was top notch. The hallways and rooms had a very musty smell which did not go away. It was slightly inconvenient to move around with luggage but it was chosen for its affordable price and close proximity to the Fushimi Inari Shrine (10-15 minute walk). It mostly a residential neighbourhood so it's very quiet.

Nothing of interest really close by. A good 10 minute walk to Inari but thats only worth a visit once. Handy for the transport.
My room had a terrible smoke smell on the firat night. The whole floor did. I spent the night coughing. I complained the next morning and requested a move saying i would return by 9pm. To their credit they moved my belongings to a room on a dufferent oor and it was far better.
The staff was very kind and helpful, especially when ai needed a taxi to get around! I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a fun trip to the beautiful city of Kyoto!!
