Grand Front Osaka may have been a relatively recent addition to Osaka Station's north side, but these four towers filled with nearly 270 different shops and restaurants have quickly grown into one of Osaka's most popular shopping centres and complexes. The four towers and neighbouring JR Osaka Station are connected by elevated walkways.
The four Grand Front Osaka towers are made up of a 48-floor residential tower, event hall, North Building, and South Building. The highlight of the South Building, which contains many of the same international shopping chains found in major shopping centres throughout the world, is an interactive Panasonic showroom covering three floors with lifestyle, living, and solution themes.
The South Building's second floor contains the walkway towards the North Building, whose main attraction is the Knowledge Capital. The labs in this intellectual entertainment arena feature robotic pets, fresh greens, and whiskey cask furniture. The ground floor lobby seating area is renowned for its artful design, while the sixth floor of the South Building features the 16 trendy restaurants in the Umekita Dining area.
