"A beautiful location on the river. The common areas of the hotel are very nice. Yet, for $450 a night the rooms are nothing special and need updating. "Our first time visiting Chicago and the hotel was hands down the best. Located in downtown Chicago, which made everything pretty much walking distance. The complimentary breakfast (buffet style) was great with many options to choose from. Staff were amazing and were kind enough to accommodate us with an early check- in (with an extra cost since we arrived in at 7:30am).
My one and only complaint was that it would have been nice to have our breakfast included with the early check in since we paid...

"The hotel overall was pleasant. The front desk clerk on check in was very helpful. We were able to check in early but didn't realize until we got to the room due to fatigue....that was a plus. She called a can for us when we decided to sight see.
The restaurant staff was pleasant and the good was good for breakfast and dinner.
Checking out....it wasn't a terrible experience but felt like the staff was just waiting to clock out. Understandable after doing overnight but we ended up calling for...

"This is a very nice hotel but I wish there was a more comfortable lobby seating area. I was glad for the hot tub but the website photos make the pool and hot tub area look much bigger and nicer than it was. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I enjoyed the bar/restaurant. I do think the rooms could be cleaned a bit more during the stay. Overall a positive experience."

"Our family used 2 rooms. Both rooms needed updated bathrooms. There was rust around the bathtub faucets and the silver in the mirrors was significantly peeling. Only 2 of the 4 elevators were working but we did receive advance notices about that. The buffet breakfast is very nice. The property was clean."

The staff was helpful - they offered to move us to a room on a lower floor due to the room temperature (it was over 90 degrees when we stayed there) and also lended us a phone charger.
