"My daughter and I decided to have a few nights away and as we had the sun on our side for the week we decided to stay in the UK. We came across this hotel and although expensive we decided we weren't paying for flights and booked two nights. How very special from the moment we arrived and had our car parked for us. Lovely Zara and Eugania helped with our check in and showed us around the hotel, outdoor pool and spa. What a wow factor when we were shown to our Croquet room, all air conditioned,...

"Ideal location for our trip, we upgraded and had a great view of the cricket ground and balcony definitely a bonus. Room was lovely, had all facilities needed for our stay, clean and very presentable. We had an evening meal this was very pleasant and staff were polite and professional."

"The room had everything you need but wasn’t clean and they don’t clean during your stay either. You can get new towels from reception, but no one is coming to get your previous wet/used ones. Reception desk is impressive and the 2 girls were smiley and attentive. Bathroom was ok but looking very tired. Shower was good and powerful. Parking is easy and the golf course looks good. For the price it wasn’t great value. We might stay again if we can’t find anything better, for the next Goodwood...

"Check in was easy, and staff were helpful regarding parking. Room was clean and comfortable enough for a couple nights. Towels and wash gel provided. Nice to include a table fan because of the hot weather. Could have done with some more sockets in the room - only 2 sockets and one was used by the fan."

"Having considered a few options I’m so pleased we decided to stay here. The staff are wonderful, the facilities were excellent, and it was such a beautiful place to stay. Can highly recommend."

"We had a very small room inland snug but unfortunately in the heat the small fan given to us was inadequate to cool the room. We had dinner in the Jetty which was fabulous down by the waters edge with.a delicious prawn spaghetti and cod with crab.served by a very helpful young lady who was rushed off her feet. "The hotel is set in a lovely location and the main building is full of character. The bar area is a little small and getting served can take a while. Whilst the staff were very friendly and helpful, they seemed to be under a lot of pressure and not very well organised. The food was excellent but again the time it took was quite long in some cases. The tables could do with being numbered and the staff given a plan of the layout. The rooms were a little small and the lack of air conditioning made...

"This is a VERY basic hotel. Also - no A/C. Looking very worn. If you are staying here to catch a cruise, it is not a walk to the port."
