"Lovely room but bath with shower not suitable as sloped ceiling stopped from using shower head and couldn’t stand up in bath so being elderly. Had superior room so disappointed. Breakfast was lovely as was staff"

"This is a 15th Century building with the stable block converted into accommodation. The room we occupied was very large with all the usual amenities, pristine clean with a huge comfortable bed. The breakfast menu was comprehensive as was the dinner menu. My only suggestion is that a help yourself coffee and tea facility would enhance its facilities.Excellent hotel at the price."

"This Hotel hit all the spots for our small intimate family wedding for our daughter. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our rooms were perfect. The gardens were beautiful and well looked after a perfect setting for photographs. The food in the evening and at breakfast great and plenty of choice. A big thank you to all the staff."

"Never stay here in the summer! A lovely hotel with a great spa but sadly the staff were not interested. Our room (6) was boiling hot, far hotter than 2 other hotel rooms we have slept in over this May 26 heatwave. When we raised this at check in and explained that we would not be able to sleep in the room we were given a spare fan that simply moved the hot are around. "Lovely property, beautiful location. Very comfortable bed, good parking and ev charging available. Room was quite hot (fan supplied but only a small window) and bathroom layout a bit awkward. Ensuring meals and drinks were correctly added to rooms was a bit disorganised - could do with a signing policy. Breakfast also a little chaotic, though a good choice."

The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! "Upon entering, the room smelt strongly of mould and damp. There was mould all over the bedroom window and the smell also came from the bathroom. The bathroom door latch didn't work, so the door didn't stay closed. The bathroom extractor fan is caked with dust, the bath looks like it hadn't been cleaned, the panel looks incomplete and the grouting is mouldy in the shower.
