"When booking at Basecamp South, the stress is on camp. The facility enjoys a great location within easy walking distance of downtown, restaurants, etc. Rooms are basic. Few outlooks, which are mostly filled by room amenities. If you want to watch TV, make sure you bring your own streaming services. Parking is both limited and risky. Within the facility there is no where to turn around. Parking on the street is a better option if you can find a space."

"The location is great. Very close to Yosemite. The full kitchen is a plus. The mini-market/gift shop is very convenient and well stocked. Air conditioner worked well. Although the sink and vanity were upgraded the tub wasn’t. The retro look of the tile is not the issue -but the grout could be cleaned more so. It needs a deep clean. Since there is no exhaust fan, I can see keeping it clean is a challenge, but there are ways to clean it. Also the wall in the bathroom appears to have mold that was...

"Good location. Easy access off Van Ness with good parking. Clean, didn’t get overwhelmed by any fragrance (sometimes an issue in other hotels that pump in fragrance whether you want or can tolerate it or not). Loved they had both firm & soft pillows, labeled in embroidery on the pillowcase. Reasonably priced for the area. Definitely will stay again. No microwave in room but there’s a useable one in a common space. Mini fridge in room which was more important to us."

"The property was great. Very short walk to Disneyland. The rooms were a bit small but overall great. The elevator near my room was broken so I had to use the stairs which a bit inconvenient. The property was clean and had security. The pool is nice. Staff was very nice. The room door didn't shut automatically so had to make sure I shut it myself every time I left or entered. It was very quiet on the property."
