The room had a bad musty smell when I entered (it should have been air-conditioned but was not). I switched on the a/c to get fresh air in and the smell out, the temperature went low, but then heating did not work at all. Dining options were very limited (cold sandwiches and pizzas only in a Hilton???). The small "bistro" is inadequate to handle all the customers and the prices are exorbitant - $7 for a bottle of water. Morning transportation to the airport was a pain (we had to be standing in the little vehicle. Get a bigger bus to handle your customers!

The hotel is very close to the airport. The lobby and restaurants are great. - The rooms really need to be updated. - The bed was uncomfortable.

Nice property but parking is not good. To self park, which cost 53.00 per night, you must drive through a very narrow parking structure with very narrow parking spots. Valet is 65 per night. The room was clean enough and the bed was comfortable. The bathtub looked pretty dirty but the shower worked good. Apparently the walls are thin cause I was asked to turn down my tv which wasn’t that loud at midnight. There was no frig in the room so take that into consideration if you like a frig for your water or whatever. Also don’t provide water cups in the room so that you can at least pour your bottled water over ice. The pool area was nice and seemed clean enough. There are several places to eat in the hotel. There is a “cafe” which is opened 24;hours. This is not the kind of cafe where you sit and are waited on. You order at the register and wait for them to call your name. They have sandwiches, pizzas and premade salads. I did have the Italian sandwich and it was really good though not cheap.

We had to pay extra for receiving a room early (not in other hotels); the shower handle is difficult to operate, I had to apply more than moderate force and pull it and start shower to work. I like that the tub is not slippery and once shower worked hot water was abundant. Check out was easy. Also, the staff could not make credit card to work, he had to manually do it.

I was so disappointed in Hilton LAX. Very dirty. Both rooms that I was given were very dirty and they agreed to give me 1/2 off my room but it’s not even about the money. But about the issue that the room is dirty and it makes me sad because as Americans we should present our services and hotels at a much higher level for the visitors. I’m very very disappointed
