"Do not book the Classic Room, if you need an air-conditioner and/or usb and multiple plug options The hotel is being renovated. The new rooms are quite nice, with A/C, and a few usb/plug options. Location of hotel is very convenient."

"Great place to stay with kids. Everything is pirate themed. Breakfast is buffet style with the usual pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereals cheese and ham. I’m vegan and can’t eat gluten so just had fruit, salad and nuts. They had soya milk available on request. The pool/aquapark is great. The slides have signs saying not for under 6yo but we saw younger kids go on. There are armbands available if needed and big family changing rooms. Lockers are coded so no coins needed. "I love this hotel. It is quirky and old, but well maintained. The signage was improved this time, and I was able to find my room easily. On a previous stay this was not the case, and I wandered around a bit. My room faced an alley and it got quite noisy, especially early in the morning. The radiator and towel warmer appeared to have leaked a bit, but worked well.The staff are just lovely, always helpful. "

"It was very good location-wise for getting around Dublin. There was a band playing every night loudly enough that you couldn’t sleep nearby though. We had to keep the window closed to try to sleep but woke up soaked in sweat so had to open the window after they band was finally done (after 11pm during the week and midnight on the weekend). It is fine if you want to stay out all night but we had tours booked two of the mornings at 6am and had to leave for the airport at 5am the last morning. "

"We were allocated a room on the 3rd floor but we noticed straight away that the toilet was leaking. The staff were straight onto the problem but it couldn't be quickly fixed so we were moved to an alternative room which was more spacious and with a nicer outlook. The room was comfortable and had all we needed. We enjoyed the breakfasts and booked to eat in the hotel each night and were not disappointed- good food, and not too pricey. "Very good value for money hotel stay. Good sized room that was well equipped- free safe, iron and ironing board. Nice additions like plenty biscuits and 2 bottles of water. Check in was pretty quick, only waited 15 minutes. Complimentary muffins at check-in was a nice surprise. Staff very pleasant "
