"The hotel is in an excellent position, right on Copacabana beach. It has a very old fashioned feel about it and could definitely do with a spruce up. "We stayed during the carnival, to be honest i booked it because it was one of the cheapest during this period, so wasnt expecting much. However the minute we got out of the taxi, the doorman and reception staff were excellent and very helpful, courteous, especially Johnathan on reception. "The Copacabana Arena is a beautiful property, I would highly recommend getting the suite. The stunning views were fabulous to wake up to go to sleep to every night. The front desk staff was especially attentive annd spoke perfect English. The room attendance did a wonderful job cleaning the rooms and keeping us in towels and other items. The rooftop bar is A fun place to hang out in the evenings. The location is excellent. The The morning buffet breakfast is also very good with a great variety...

"The hotel is right infront of copacabana beach. Despite the noise infront of the beach and street cars, inside the room is very quiet. Our room has a balcony with partial view. Water is not provided, Only 1 Coffee and 1 tea is free on the first night. There is supermarket 3 corners away. A lot of dining and shopping near the hotel. Very convenient. Friendly and helpful staff especially Duda, who helped us how to go around. Front desk and Duda speak very good English, easy to communicate."

"From the warm welcome by Fabrizio Reis to the complimentary late departure, the staff couldnt have been nicer. The breakfast was super, the lounge area with its view and beach towels to use, we certainly got our monies worth. We were surprised the rooms were very small, but we were comfortable. If we get back to Rio, we will stay there again. "

"Being a three minute walk to the beach in one direction, and a two minute walk to stores, groceries, pharmacies, etc in the other direction was ideal. When on the beach, one has no idea of being close to anything else. Staff was particularly helpful, friendly and very kind. Staff and location were the big things. Of course it was clean. It is not a luxury hotel in the sense I think of luxury hotel...but it had all the amenities of a luxury hotel at normal-people rates."

"En general el hotel esta bien. Las toallas viejas y la limpieza del baño/ducha no se realiza debidamente, las camas/cuarto muy bien. Desayuno el mismo de siempre todos los dias. Ubicacion excelente y el servicio excelente. Los 2 unicos detalles son las toallas que son fatales, viejas y en mal estado y la limpieza del baño: tiene hongo de mal lavado por muchos lugares. "
