"We had a wonderful stay at The Grand, York. The rooms are big, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was excellent, and the shower was powerful and relaxing — exactly what you want after a long day. The food was very good, with great quality and variety, and the service throughout the hotel was outstanding. "Stayed over the weekend. Very clean everywhere. Staff very polite. Breakfast was very good will definitely stay again."

"Was disappointed to find that there was no available gym in the hotel, even though it is advertised as such. The sofa bed in the room was broken, as was the air-conditioning. Staff attempted to fix it but didn’t make a difference. When we visited, there was a pile of mattresses sitting in the lobby. Surely there’s a better way to manage this. We shared our complaints with staff at the hotel but they showed little interest so I hope management will take note "

"The room was very comfortable and impeccably clean. Access was easy using the door enrty codes provided. Wifi was good and easy to log onto. The Guest house was also vey quiet, with no disturbances. I used the breakfast room before I left, and ate granola, greek yoghurt and blueberries with a Coffee latte. These were dispensed from a vending machine, but were fresh and tasted lovely. Bowls, mugs and cuttlery were available. The staff I met were also friendly and chatty. I would highly recommend...
