"Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. Overall, thoroughly recommended."

I had a small accident and broke my foot, the hosts were so helpful and really went out of their way. Everything I needed was there and it was easily accessible to the city center. We were even showed to our room, a nice touch. Room was very clean and the bed comfortable. A million dollar view from our room across a quiet street. Would definitely stay again."

"Comfortable and safe stay, but this did not feel like a 5* experience. The room was beautiful however, it was cramped for 2 adults and 2 children. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was average at best however, the breakfast was very good with a varied selection. The hotel is an excellent choice for its location but just didn’t match its 5 star reputation. "
