"Check in was very difficult they wouldn’t let us unload our bags without paying $45 even though we weren’t actually parking, the photos on website does NOT resemble the actual place. My hotel room was actually next door in an entire different building took about 20 minutes to locate. Staff was not very welcoming, the elevator was out of service so i had to use the stairs. The room was at the end of the hall near an exit door that stayed cracked open the entire trip. The room door itself did not have a chain nor were they any towels in the bathroom. The room phone did not work so i had to walk next door to front desk for towels for the gentleman to tell me that he would bring them & never did. I requested them again the next day and another staff said the door was locked, when I requested to speak to management they said that they weren’t there. Last but not least I never received my deposit & now they’re not answering and im back in my home town. Will never return, dont waste your money I would not recommend!!"

"great staff. Rooms beautiful and clean. Views were amazing. Lobby, dinning and pool not super luxury but consistent for Holiday Inn. Room and view were high end. Great price and great location. Would go back. beach front was just like the fancy hotels next door. "

"The only highlight of this hotel was the staff. The girls at the front desk were really nice to us and try to accommodate despite the terrible condition of our hotel room. The hotel is under renovations so the café and the pool bar everything is closed and under construction. There was drilling going on outside on the roof by our window. They switched us to another room . Then the air conditioner in the new room was leaking . Our entire carpet was wet and smelled and when they tried to move us into a second room , then we saw that room the air conditioner was also leaking. Also the hotel overall is giving old Miami, but it is in terrible condition. We came here just for a few days to be close to a wedding that was happening in South Beach. I will never stay here again and do yourself a favor always contact the property and ask them if it’s under renovation or any type of construction because they failed to mention that when we booked or when we confirmed our reservation. Good thing the manager and the host at the front desk was nice enough to try to move us to another room and gave us a complementary one night because otherwise this hotel property is not worth more than $40 a day and we were supposed to pay $150 per day. terrible do not stay here!!! The hotel owners do not want to list this place as under construction! The place looks nothing like the pictures !! This is a warning to everyone, do not stay here! "

"I was very disappointed with my recent stay at the Fontainebleau. The condition of the room fell far below expectations for a hotel of this reputation and price point. Upon arrival, the room was noticeably unclean, with dirty carpeting and an overall lack of proper housekeeping standards. Additionally, several fixtures were outdated or not functioning properly, including broken light fixtures and a malfunctioning door key reader, which created unnecessary inconvenience. Equally concerning was the level of service. Interactions with staff were consistently unprofessional and, at times, outright rude, which only compounded the negative experience. Overall, this stay did not meet even basic expectations for cleanliness, maintenance, or customer service. I would not recommend this property based on my experience."
