The grounds are beautiful.The room was spacious but lacked a microwave or coffee maker. When we requested a coffee maker, we were told that they weren't provided and room service was not available. However, house keeping and wait staff were always friendly and accommodating. During a downpour there were no umbrellas available for us to borrow from the front desk. We were left with a bit of our sour note when we asked for our friends to visit who were staying nearby and we were told they would each have to pay a large fee. We were hoping to get a group rate as there were 10 of us but we were told the rates were as is. The hotel stood out as not accommodating and trying to be exclusive which in turn isolated it from more business. It was unfortunate that our friends could not join us so we joined them. The area offers so much to do that we enjoyed the local restaurants, shops, and pubs. The Oxo across from the hotel was a bonus as well.
