"Not your typical all inclusive resort, so be careful when booking. Highlight was the room for the price. Massive 1 bedroom villa, almost like a condo with a kitchen, oceanfront. It was great. Downsides, this place is basically a time share. You are hassled everywhere you go about attending a presentation or buying into the property. We were asked at check-in, they called our room multiple times, and they would stop and ask us when we walked around. Food was meh. Buffet was not the best. The...

"Had a lovely 5 night stay . Food at the all day dinning restaurant Vela had much more flavour to it compared to the some of the speciality restaurant. The Italian restaurant La Luce has a fantastic view with a amazing sunset. The food there was also good. Housekeeping and room service does take a while but this is to be expected given the size of the property. Overall a pleasant stay."

"Second visit to resort. We visited the third week after reopening. We had a great trip. We used the gym, did several of the sports and cultural activities and some of the evening activities/shows. We appreciated having them available to us. The gym is excellent. We also loved the Bali beds, the coushined chaise lounges, the remodeled rooms and the 24 hour ice cream and coffee. I’d definitely come back!"

"Would give this 5 starts but had to do 4 due to being placed in a room that was out dated, inoperable AC m, dirty throw pillows, dirty chair, etc. hotel lobby staff upgraded the room to an ocean front the same day. Staff was accommodating, food was surprisingly good as well as drinks. No complaints other than the first room."

However, I felt that the hotel was not in as good condition as it appeared in the photos. Some areas seemed a bit worn and did not match the expectations set online. "This is a horrible old property that is being offerred at exuburate prices. It has a motel feel. We tried 3 restaurants and all had horrible food. We ended up going across the street to Ilios for some good food, Luckily we were only there for one night. "
