"Bed and pillows very comfortable. I stayed in the cottage room at the rear of the property. I could hear my neighbours moving around next to me as well as above. I was offered a $13 food and drink voucher in the form of a pre-selected soft drink and 2x small bags of chocolate. I asked if I could forgo these items and instead have scrambled eggs in the morning which was priced at $8. This was declined by the receptionist but I was offered 2 x bottles of sparkling water instead which I declined as...

"The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They told us where to buy beer so we could relax after a long drive. We got the beer, made popcorn provided in the guest food basket and sat outside in the beautiful yard. There’s a nearby walking trail that goes by an old train depot. We had a lovely dinner in a renovated train dining car. Breakfast was homemade bread and delicious overnight oats along with yogurt. The guest kitchen includes all that you need. We really enjoyed our stay. "

"We enjoy our evening at the Brentwood. It has been around for a few decades apparently, as such there is a bit of wear, but all good. The only glitch was getting in. I had the code for the main lock box, but couldn't figure out how to work it. (You have to push a button to illuminate a digital key pad. "This is a very special property within a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants in town. The couple who run the auberge are lovely and welcomed us with a warm smile when we arrived late one evening. The front desk is not always staffed but our host was easily reached by phone.The room was immaculate and comfortable and breakfast was wonderful! We would most certainly return. "
