"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "After checking in we found the air conditioning was not working, tried to call the front desk and phone was not working, nor was the TV. Had to walk back down to reception where we were told we were pre warned about the air conditioning ( we were not!!) and there was a fan in the room- there wasn’t. The lady argued saying there was and said in regards to the phone not working- most hotels don’t have phones anymore anyway. When she came to our room, she finally agreed we indeed did not have a fan. One was delivered- but it literally just moved the hot air around. The fan stopped working in the middle of the night and our toilet was on constant flush. Location wise, this hotel is great. But this hotel needs serious maintenance and updating and until this is done, I’d personally avoid."

"The hotel looked amazing. Food and cocktails on the bar amazing. Great room Very clean. And excellent value. However, my quibble was the pool and spa. It seemed dark and gloomy and lack lustre down there. Badly sign posted.Labyrinthian. it was not a comfortable place to be. It was clean, no issues there but not as great as it could have been."

"Lovely clean and well maintained hotel. I stay in a lot of hotels and the rooms were of excellent standard. Fresh, well stocked and bed was comfortable. What with the black our curtains and no sound from outside or other rooms a great night sleep. Great breakfast and little touches like well presented breakfast choices I was pleased to start my day off well taken care of."
