"I liked it a lot in many ways. But I was not happy with the amount of sound that got into my room. Slamming of doors throughout the night. I wish the the doors were configured in such a way that they closed in silence."

"The double beds are huge, they felt more like king size. We were only there overnight but check in was easy, the amenities were clean and there were so many separate bathrooms scattered throughout the building - never had to wait for one. The kitchen was large with plenty of space. Note that the hostel is further off the main road than we thought, the road is fairly well maintained inred but it is gravel for 6km or so to get there. Also pizza on site but not much other food around."

"Room for 3 adults was spacious and clean. Initially, room was musty. Management opened the only window and brought in a small fan which help air the room by the next morning. Lady at reception offered two possible other rooms as alternative but both were considerably smaller so we remained with initial room. TV channels very limited. Breakfast very good and healthy offerings. Hotel quit and safe. Outdoor parking available at front of hotel. We woud use again. Note that everything, hotel, gas,...

"Ich war im Mai 2026 für zwei Nächte im Hotel Von und habe mich dort sehr wohl und sicher gefühlt. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in der Fußgängerzone. Ein Supermarkt ist direkt nebenan, Gastronomie direkt vor der Tür in großer Anzahl und Auswahl. Zum Hafen läuft man 15 Minuten, zum Busterminal BSI 20 Minuten. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, ging nach vorne zur Straße (belebte Fußgängerzone) raus, ist aber ausreichend schallisoliert, so dass ich mich nicht gestört gefühlt habe von Straßengeräuschen....

"Short bus ride to downtown Reykjavík. Buffet breakfast was very good. Front desk staff extremely helpful with navigating and providing information on local cuisine and things to do around town. No fitness room inside the hotel but just across the street is the largest gym in Reykjavik. Paid for a one week pass to use the facility. Would definitely stay again."

"Staff was helpful & friendly. Ivris from housekeeping was helpful & polite giving us fresh towels since we opted for the green initiative (less cleaning). Diego & Carolina at reception were helpful with the HX mixup with our reservation so we did not end up homeless in Reykjavik. We love that bus stop #12 is just outside the hotel. Would be nice to have a hot tub to relax in after long days of excursions. Would also appreciate a little bigger tv in the room. A beautiful Iceland scenery picture...
