"This is a great place. Rooms were nice and clean. Facilities were nice. Restaurant was very good. Amazing volcanic views. Close to blue lagoon and airport. We unfortunately had to evacuate due to the volcano warning but seems to be routine in Iceland. "

"Great hotel and spa, really well presented building and the rooms were clean, well equipped and quiet. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were very attentive and polite. OK it's a little pricey but well worth the experience overall. The only negative for me was from the Lava restaurant where I had probably the worst steak ever especially given it's hefty price tag."

"This is a dorm during the school year that serves as a hotel in the summer. My room had a private bath, and was small but comfortable. The staff were very friendly. It was convenient to downtown Akureyri, and also very close to a lovely botanical garden. It was perfect for what I needed. I did not pay extra for the buffet breakfast. The bed was more comfortable than other dorm accommodations I have stayed in. It was quiet and peaceful."

"Very simple, clean room. Quick trip via taxi to and from the airport. They provided some nice snacks that served as a simple, healthy breakfast. Good communication with staff. (Note: there is no front desk, but staff communicates through email - they were quick to respond.) Walking distance to lots of restaurants. "

"The owner allowed us early checkin at no additional cost, also had a great sense of humour. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean, spacious with lots of amenities. Buffet breakfast was included and a great choice of options to eat Check in and check out was quick and simple."

"Best Spa !! A must go to for the spa alone. Especially after my nature adventures this was such a nice decompression. Comfortable beds, wonderful decorations, tasty breakfast, and really close to Blue lagoon. Definitely want to visit again. "
