"Anna and Siggi’s place was absolutely lovely! Anna was very helpful and had fresh bread in the check in area when we arrived. Our little suite was perfect for my husband, daughter and I. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. My daughter loved the dogs and being so close to the ponies. We definitely recommend the Garage if you’re traveling to southern Iceland and want a cozy place to stay with an beautiful view of the water and mountains!"

"Stayed in room 102. The hotel is a beautiful log cabin design with a lot of neat touches such as the carved bears in the staircases. The room is a nice size with a mini fridge that is only big enough for a couple drinks. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great. A large variety of sweets, cereal, fresh bread and even eggs and bacon. Had no issues getting the code or opening the lockbox that held the key. Recommended. Close to Skogafoss and the amazing hike to Kvernufoss."

"My wife Sheri and I, traveled on vacation together in Sept. from Miami, FL. to Iceland to take a break away from the heat and humidity in Miami to explore Iceland country during Autumn/Winter season. We enjoyed our short stay at the Hellisholar Cottages. My wife really enjoyed the cold weather. We got Free parking included in our stay, Free wifi, hot and cold water, clean room, in a very quiet and peaceful area too. "

"The nicest hotel we stayed at in Iceland, and the best toilet paper! Parking lot right across the street (free over the whole island) and centrally located easy to walk to everything in town. Breakfast was also the best we had out of all the hotels we stayed at. Lovely! Would easily come back."

"The staff, location, and property were very well kept and easy to find. The proximity to the lower portion of Iceland and the village of Vík and attractions made it very desirable. "

"The property was really Home like. Great host. And very welcoming. The kitchen supplied everything you needed and the area to sit was incredible. Nice and peaceful and definitely would come back. This hotel doesn’t get the credit that it should. It was perfect."
