Bel & The Dragon Cookham

"An absolutely brilliant hotel in a truly delightful and historic village. Our bedroom was at the back in what is known as the Cottage. It was extremely comfortable, decorated with great care, and had all necessary amenities. Dining area gave the option of sitting inside or out, and although we did not dine there, we had a wonderful breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. On arrival we were given one of the best hotel tours I have ever had. Can recommend extremely strongly. If you are staying there I would recommend visiting the Stanley Spencer Gallery across the road as well."

"Stayed 2 nights. Double bed was comfortable. Useful having fridge. Shower could do with a bit more pressure, but was okay. Room was clean. Could hear people in other room talking, so expect some noise from other guests. No breakfast option. Only one host, who isn't always there so checkout process wasn't obvious. I'd stay again and recommend to others."

"What a friendly bunch they are at The Old Bell. Clear the new owners and motivated to make this a great spot for all. A truly warm welcome and great chat with the staff; all keen to learn and do things the right way. They really are a credit to the management. Rooms still need a little work, mattress on the bed was not great at all, but everywhere clean and tidy. Would happily stay again when in the area for work."
