Caroline at the front desk was so lovely & cheerful ! She overheard we were coming to look at Cliveden for our wedding venue & wanted us to feel the experience & excitement so very generously upgraded us! All staff very welcoming - The facilities 10/10 especially the spa !
Perfection and historical elegance at the highest level. The most comfortable bed I have experienced in a hotel in many years. The grounds inspire with their cared for beauty. The architecture of the manor house is extraordinary. We shall be returning!
After staying several years at this hotel, it continues to be an icon with everything you need including restaurants, bar, indoor and outdoor pool and gardens. Excelent service that help you on everything you ask. Hope to stay there again next year.
Our stay was exceptional from start to finish. We always finish our stay in Europe with a trip to Cliveden House for a few days. The staff, the grounds the hotel are just perfect.
Always a great stay before flying out of LHR. Great old world charm with great service. Not too much time for the gardens this time but that's a real plus too.
Every memebr of staff was exceptional with their customer service, but one member of the team on recption (Leanne) was amazing and made our stay exceptional !! Thank you to eveyone at Cleveden House.
Staying at the iconic Cliveden house was wonderful and staff & service were fantastic. We enjoyed the spa and swimming in the famous pool BUT we were rather underwhelmed by our dinner. I ordered sole and this was decidedly average especially given the prices. Breakfast was lovely though!

Quienessential English.
Cliveden is iconic. It is a beautiful place to stay. The staff could not have been better from the doorman to the reception desk to the bartender to our waiters - each one is knowledgable, friendly and made our stay one of the best ever.
Beautiful hotel with amazing grounds, huge room and lots of luxurious touches. The beds were comfortable and the big round bath was something else. Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and professional. The only negatives were when the corporate side of things disturbed the other guests - the braying sales teams taking over the breakfast room with their luggage wasn't ideal, nor the loud wedding planning meeting while we were relaxing in the residents’ lounge. I’m sure there is enough space to host them in other areas.
What an amazing hotel and service! We have been to Cliveden House before - for afternoon tea, for dinner, and just to visit the grounds. But this time we decided to treat ourselves and booked a Club Room for an overnight stay, as it was our anniversary. But what an amazing surprise - we got upgraded to a Junior Suite, got a bottle of prosecco, a piece of cake and a hand-written greeting card! The suite we were given was Sutherland, which is absolutely gorgeous - with an enormous working fireplace and a humongous bed made us feel like royalty. Big thanks to Cliveden and hotel manager Jordan for making our stay so special.
Amazing property and friendly staff. Ate in the Astor grill which was good but service and menu could be improved. Some items with meat/fish in their description listed as vegetarian, which other seemingly vegetarian items like a beetroot ravioli not marked as vegetarian and the waiting staff were equally confused about it.
VIP amenity of a bottle of very nice English Sparkling Wine was lovely. No Gold member room upgrade mentioned, if not possible would be good to let the guest know, although there was room availability that evening on the website.
Absolutely brilliant location - the staff are excellent and the setting idyllic. Everything from the tour of the house to the boat trip along the river was excellent.
