"My room (caramel) was huge! Clean and comfortable, though slightly difficult shutting the door with the big curtain behind it. One star deducted for no fan, no one told me the wifi password when I arrived, and there was no cereal or fruit left by 9am for breakfast on Sunday. My parents also paid £30 a night to have their dog in their room yet there wasn’t so much as a dog bowl included, so they could do better on that front."

"The building is very old. With this comes issues with either a very steep staircase up to the rooms or use of an emergency exit at the rear (which is made of metal steps with a precarious old mat dangerously situated at the top). The room was lovely but it was very hot as situated above the kitchen. The weather was forecasted to be 28/29 degrees and I had to ask for a fan. "Can't really fault the property itself but the card keys that you need to get in room lifts pretty much everywhere hardly ever worked had to go to reception a few times because we couldn't get in our room.Quite a few guests we spoke to had the same issue."

"Lovely clean room. The staff were amazing, they work so hard and are really friendly and smiley. We ate here too for dinner and breakfast, the food was lovely. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area."

"The property is very clean, beautiful and well refurbished and right in the heart of Marlow. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food itself (breakfast) was a bit poor but OK. We didn't have any hot water to take a shower unfortunately but stayed only 1 night anyway. "Beautiful old building with spacious rooms but ambience and decor are stunted by poor management and maintenance. "The property is historic and the grounds are beautiful. The staff was not particular helpful or friendly. We reserved a superior room and were excited about our stay. Sadly when we got into our room we found the temperature to be around 95 degrees in the room and the only relief available from the hotel was a fan.
