"A really warm welcome into a great property.
It was greatly appreciated that our request for a swift breakfast was met, and good food it was too! Will stay again when coming to Torquay."
"The Capri hotel is a loveley place for families! Very nice hosts in a familiar atmosphere near to the Torquay city. 10-15 minutes by feet. About 5-10 minutes to the train station."
"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Owner Kelly and her staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was very clean and the food was well cooked and presented. Nice swimming pool and bar. Family friendly hotel. We would stay here again and can recommend based on our stay at The Glenorleigh. "
"The hotel is generally ok, I've just had 2 nights there and to be honest it was generally clean and tidy, the staff were excellent all round and the entertainment on the night time was reasonably, However the room, (and i had one with a balcony) was so small would would not want to spendca week in it, and the bed was awful. It was like sleeping on a rock. The hotel is what we would call tired and needs quite a bit of money spending on it to get it up to a first class hotel. Still i have a good...
"Great hosts, clean, tidy, great night’s sleep, parking right outside, loads of food and shops on same road. Breakfast was spot on with a great selection of hot and cold choices, definitely going back if I’m working in the area again."

Torquay was quiet in January but still plenty of places to visit especially cafes, pubs and restaurants. The coastal path was a lovely walk to Babbacombe. The Abbey gardens are also good to visit.

The back streets of Torquay do not do it a great service. The front is great, the pedestrianized shopping centre is good but one has to understand and navigate (trial and error,)the one way system around the town, dodging the black bins and rubbish

It seemed not to have changed greatly since I last stayed there over fifty years ago There are a lot of new restaurants which are more recent additions, but the resort continues to be the anchor for many of the nearby resorts and attractions.

Great place to visit for 4-5 days. We were lucky that there weren't that many people in town. So, streets & attractions weren't crowded. I imagine in summer, it'd be noisy with long lines for model village, South Coast Walk, Kent Caverns...

Torquay is basically exactly what you think it's going to be in the summer - nice boardwalk by the sea, swimming options and great seafood However, be conscious that most restaurants shut at 9pm

Loads to do. Good eating options and some lively bars as well as some quieter ones as well. Clean town with plenty of work going on which will make a lovely harbour area even better.

Torquay back in the day was a bustling seaside place but like most its appeal but it really is fighting back and starting to smarten up. Well worth a visit.

The only thing that lets Torquay down (at the moment) is the Town Centre but i can see there are some developments imminent there

Torquay is a lovely place and it is so easy to catch a bus and travel to Brixham and Paignton which we did and it was lovely.
"Drink price changed from the previous day and ask why was told I didn’t get charged for the cordial! Otherwise really good hotel definitely stay again "
"This was a very nice hotel and and we had a Sea View however due to the flying birds around the area, the windows were dirty with bird poo. The hotel should ensure cleanliness of the windows too."
