Senai International Airport (JHB) serves one of peninsular Malaysia's southernmost regions and is located 32kms northwest of Johor Bahru, the city which borders neighbouring Singapore. Well over two and a half million passengers used Senai International Airport (JHB) in 2014.
A new airline named flymojo will soon join AirAsia on the list of airlines which use Senai International Airport (JHB) as a hub. This rapidly growing airport has been in operation since 1974. In addition to destinations throughout Malaysia, passengers can also fly directly to Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, and many more cities across Southeast Asia.
A large number of useful features are provided to Senai International Airport (JHB) passengers. Public telephones are scattered across the airport, while ATMs and currency exchanges are available in the terminal concourse area and ground floor Aero Mall. A nursery and diaper change room can be found on the first floor of the departure hall. Passengers can also store their belongings in lockers for an extra fee. Postal services are available on the lower ground floor.
There are more than half a dozen different restaurants at Senai International Airport (JHB), including Western and Malaysian chain establishments. Submarine sandwiches and fried chicken are just a couple of the dishes on these restaurant menus. The airport also contains a coffee shop.
Senai International Airport (JHB) also has a long list of shops, not only within the main airport building, but also inside the Aero Mall. The Aero Mall is a separate building which first opened its doors in July 2010. The airport and Aero Mall are both filled with clothing boutiques and duty-free shops. Passengers can also buy books, jewellery, watches, souvenirs, and even chocolate at Senai International Airport (JHB).
