"The room was spotless. The hotel's in a terrific location and offers free parking. Keep in mind the the property is undergoing renovation and the hallways and bathrooms haven't been updated yet but the bathroom was clean and functional. One oddity with the room is that the charging ports on the headboard were tied to the lights switch just inside the door for the floor lamp. If the switch was in the off position, the charging ports didn't work. I figured out the USB port on the desk lamp...

"I arrived at the property around 4:30 PM and was very disappointed with my experience. The property looked poorly maintained, and the surrounding area felt unsafe and uncomfortable to me. There were also many flying insects around the property. I asked the front desk employee whether the area was safe, and his response was, “If you’re concerned about safety, then don’t stay here.” That response made me feel unwelcome and reinforced my concerns, so I decided not to stay."

"Loved staying at this guest house. Me and my husband stayed for the weekend, the location was excellent, rooms were tidy, bed comfortable. First time ever trying a guest house situation and for a quick trip I would do it again. The deposit situation was a little unorthodox but we understand the reasoning why."

"The view was stunning and the room was a corner so it was magnificent but we also paid a very high price for that room! Check out was a little confusing and we had to park in the lot. My only big complaint was that on the third floor, they had small or short chairs and end tables right around a corner that was not visible so I tripped and fell on the small table and got hurt! These IMO should be moved to prevent others from falling!"

"My stay was only for a night; I wouldn't stay longer. The interior and exterior are not kept up. The bedding is questionable. I would consider bringing your own blanket and pillow or just covering the bed and pillows when lying on it. Their blanket is very thin. Wear socks or slippers; the floor is sticky, and bring an air freshener. Not sure what cleaning supplies are used, but the room needs airing out. It's a bad area or the surroundings are bad."

"The hotel was good, and the spa was 100% worth it! The staff was rough. We’ve been Marriott members for a long time, and when we travel, we stay at the JW, W, or Ritz. We came to Chicago to go to Beyond Wonderland, and then we’re out till 2 or 3am experiencing Chicago night life. The hotel staff woke us up every morning at 7:30 or before by coming into the room that had a “do not enter” sign on the outside of the door. "The hotel is in a great location in Chicago. It is a massive big hotel. A bit outdated but room was clean and bed was very comfortable. For some reason it was not cleaned or serviced every day. Overall, had a good stay."
