"Was only there for about 12 hours but nice staff, clean room "

"I don’t usually write reviews, but on this occasion I thought I must. This is quite a large, modern and clean hotel. Most media sites advertising this place will tell you that it only has limited parking. This is correct. I counted a total of just 33 parking spots and this number includes 4 maybe 5 spots for EV vehicles, plus another 2 handicap spots. What media advertising sites also fail to tell you is that it will also cost you an additional 15 pounds to park here each night, and that’s if you manage to secure a spot? There is nowhere close to this hotel locally where you can park your car and then walk back to this hotel. My room (although very clean) lacked the usual hotel desk/table & chair that’s normally provided to help you work if using a Laptop or similar?... When asking where the table was? I was delivered a bedside table measuring 2ft x 2ft square, but still received no chair to sit on? My room also had no closet (small wardrobe) with coat hangers like most other hotels for hanging clothes? Instead they had what looked like a piece of chain link fencing screwed to the wall with three coat hangers on it?... I guess they are trying to make the place look a little modern?... Not very useful for people staying for longer periods! I spent two nights here, but only parked and paid (by cash) for my rental vehicle for just one night, plus paid for one morning breakfast -11.95 pounds (I returned the vehicle the very next day to back to the airport). "I stayed at this hotel many times over the course of a month while working in the area, and it quickly became a comfortable “home away from home”. Each visit was consistently positive and stress-free. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. My room was always tidy on arrival, with everything I needed for a straightforward stay. After long working days, it was a calm and reliable place to return to. The food was also very good—consistently tasty and well prepared. I can’t comment on breakfast as I never had it, so I can’t fairly review that part. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every interaction over the month was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely relaxed. They always made time to help and made the experience feel personal rather than routine. One moment that stuck with me was when I reported a faulty hair dryer. Instead of simply replacing it, the staff member joked and asked if I actually needed one, given that I’ve got very little hair. It was light-hearted and good-natured, and it really reflected the team’s easy-going personality. Overall, the consistency of service made a big difference during a busy work period. I always felt looked after without being over-fussed, and that balance was perfect for me. I’d happily stay here again when working in the area. A comfortable, reliable hotel with genuinely friendly staff who make the stay memorable."

"Bit better communication between reception and bar staff, wanted a bucket of ice reception told me to go to the bar and the bar staff said I could only have it if I brought a bottle of Prosecco. "

"The room we stayed in was very close to the reception.We could hear people talking loudly which disturbed our sleep in more than one occasion.A sound proof door should be there between reception and the ground rooms to minimise or eliminate the sound.We also found dump in the bedroom walls, towards the main window and the bed sheets had holes on it."
