Located on the west coast of Bali, in the northern Kuta region of Seminyak, the gorgeous Petitenget Temple is one of Bali’s most appealing Hindu religious sites. Built during the 15th century, this temple was constructed using red brick and sandstone, adding a sense of age and awe for tourists to take in. Even though it is one of many sea temples stretching along this part of Indonesia, Petitenget Temple is famous for its seclusion and serenity though it is only about a 15-minute ride from Bali’s international airport.
The front of the temple boasts the impressive dragon staircase which leads up to the main courtyard. Here, there are many beautiful shrines and sculptures to view, all set among luxuriant foliage. Throughout the year, there are numerous celebrations and festivals held here, which should not be missed.
